3Ms for traders – keys to success

กล่าวกันว่าการจะเทรดให้ประสบความสำเร็จนั้นจะต้องมีองค์ประกอบสามอย่างด้วยกัน คือ

1. Method management – วิธีการเทรด
2. Money management – การบริหารหน้าตัก รวมถึงการบริหารความเสี่ยง
3. Mind management – การบริหารจิตใจตัวเอง หรือจิตวิทยาในการเทรด

เทรดเดอร์ที่ประสบความสำเร็จหลายท่าน จะพูดในทิศทางเดียวกันว่าระบบเทรด หรือวิธีการเข้าออกจากตลาด (Methodology/ Trading system) ที่พยายามเสาะแสวงหากันอยู่นั้นมีผลต่อความสำเร็จเพียงแค่ 10% เท่านั้นเอง ส่วนการบริหารหน้าตัก (Money management/ Risk management) นั้นมีผล 30% ที่เหลืออีก 60% มาจากจิตวิทยา (Psychology) บางท่านถึงกลับกล่าวว่า Trading is only psychology – 100% ด้วยซ้ำไป

รู้อย่างนี้แล้วจะได้ให้ความสำคัญถูกว่าต้องเน้นสิ่งไหนก่อน มัวแต่หา Holy grail หรือสุดยอด Trading system ที่ให้ผล 100% (ซึ่งไม่มีอยู่จริง ไม่งั้นเขาจะทำมาขายทำไป เก็บไว้ใช้เอง รวยเอง ไม่ดีกว่าหรือ) ก็มีผลแค่ 10% ต่อความสำเร็จ สู้เอาเวลาไปทำ Money management ก็ไม่ได้ ที่แน่ๆ คือต้องควบคุมหรือบริหารจิตใจตัวเองนั่นแหละให้ดี

หากว่ามีระบบ แต่ไม่ทำตามระบบ ก็เท่ากับไม่มีระบบนั่นเอง

It’s said that successful trading requires three key components:

• Method management – Trading strategy/methodology
• Money management – Capital management, including risk management
• Mind management – Self-psychology or trading psychology

Many successful traders agree that the trading system or entry/exit methods (Methodology/Trading system) that people tirelessly search for only contribute 10% to success. Money management (Money management/Risk management) accounts for 30%, and the remaining 60% comes from psychology. Some even go as far as to say that “Trading is only psychology – 100%.”

Knowing this helps you prioritize correctly. Spending all your time searching for a “Holy Grail” or a 100% effective trading system (which doesn’t exist – otherwise, why would anyone sell it instead of using it to get rich themselves?) only impacts your success by 10%. It’s better to invest that time in Money management. Above all, controllling your own myset is the key.

If you don’t follow your trading system, it means that you don’t have a system at all.
