This note illustrate the working princitple of heat pipe. It is used in HVAC system mainly for energy recovery and dehumidification enhancement with passive and reliable operation. This will improve energy saving and indoor air quality with lower operating costs. No external energy is required, the operating cost is from the fan pressure to overcome the air side pressure drop over the heat pipe.
