Pressure Independent Control Valve (PICV): A 3-in-1 Functional Valve

1. Flow Control Valve – Modulates flow in response to the thermostat signal, enabling precise temperature control within the conditioned space.
2. Differential Pressure Control Valve – Maintains a constant differential pressure across the internal control element, ensuring that flow regulation remains stable and unaffected by system pressure fluctuations. The maintained differential pressure corresponds to the flow rate setting.
3. Regulating Valve / Flow Limiter – Allows adjustment of the maximum flow rate through a pre-set mechanism, thereby limiting the peak flow regardless of downstream demand or upstream pressure variations.
