Humidification by water injection is the process that a small amount of water is spray into the airstream and the air has enough energy to evaporate all the water droplets (or water mist), then mix with the airstream. The energy for evaporation comes from the air itself, which causes the air temperature drop while its humidity rises.
The process line will follow dh/dw ratio, which equal to hw (enthalpy of the water, kJ/kg)
–> hw = 4.186 x Tw (Tw in °C).
This process is known as evaporative cooling process.
